Aust dollar, bonds strengthen on US demise =2 Sydney
At 1200 AEDT, the local unit was at 0.5894/99 euro compared to 0.5900/05 late yesterday,
and at 66.01/09 Japanese yen from 64.80/88.
The Aussie dollar was also at 1.2419/43 New Zealand dollars from 1.2428/53 and 0.3742/48
British pounds from 0.3730/36 yesterday.
The euro was at $US0.9509/14 from 0.9401/06 late in yesterday's local session and at
111.96/01 yen from 109.79/84.
The US dollar was at 117.71/76 yen from 116.76/81.
Australian bonds, meanwhile, have also benefited from the paling US economy.
