Qld: Man charged over alleged assault with wooden club

BRISBANE, Dec 24 AAP - A 33-year-old man has been charged after allegedly hitting another
man in the arm with a wooden club during an altercation at a house in Brisbane's west.

Police said the man went to the Inala home at about 7pm (AEST) last night, where he
got into an argument with a 44-year-old man already at the house.

Police said the 33-year-old man went to his car and returned with a wooden club, which
he allegedly used to strike the other man.

The 44-year-old victim suffered a deep cut to the arm and was taken to the Princess
Alexandra Hospital for treatment.

The 33-year-old man from Carole Park was charged with assault occasioning bodily harm
whilst armed, and will appear in Richlands Magistrates Court on January 9.
