Fed: GG urges calm on terror as Australia honours Anzacs

Governor-General MICHAEL JEFFERY has urged Australians not to panic about the war on
terror .. while paying respects to the country's war dead.

Major-General JEFFERY will deliver the commemorative address at the national Anzac
Day service in Canberra later today.

He's told the Nine Network .. while the war on terror is probably going to be with
us for a long time .. we've already come through wars of all descriptions.

Major-General JEFFERY says we can all try to convince those who seem to hate .. or
who've hated for hundreds of years .. to stop their hating.

Around Australia .. large crowds have showed up at dawn services in cities and towns
.. to honour the sacrifice of the original Anzacs and those who've followed them.
